This morning, after breakfast, embark on a tour of Santiago, discovering the city's past and present. Heading to one of the city’s most famous landmarks, San Cristobal Hill by cable car, you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the city. From here, you’ll be able to distinguish the different areas and character of its neighbourhoods. Afterwards, venture to the core of the city, visiting the historical district, once the site of indigenous ancestors to Spanish conquerors and now a bustling centre.

Then it’s onto Santiago’s most historic and traditional neighbourhood, Yungay, often described as one of the most attractive neighbourhoods in the world, with its preserved architecture of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. We’ll also explore the neighbourhood of Lastarria, which is fast becoming one of Santiago’s trendiest neighbourhoods with top restaurants, bars, cafes, boutiques and parks. Today you’ll have the day at leisure to explore this vibrant city or alternatively, you can choose to participate in an optional tour.

Optional Tour: Maipo Valley Wine Tour
You will depart from your hotel in Santiago and head to the historic Cousiño Macul vineyard, founded in 1856 and still owned by the founding family. During your visit, you will explore the vineyards and the centuries-old wineries where wine was processed in the early 19th century. The tour includes a visit to the cellars where their most prestigious wines are produced and an overview of the vineyard's new sustainable practices. The guided tour lasts for 1 hour and concludes with a tasting of three wines.

Next, you will visit Santa Rita Vineyard, established in 1880 by Domingo Fernández Concha, who introduced fine French vines that helped build the vineyard’s global reputation. The classic tour includes a guided visit through the variety garden, vineyards, and the facilities where the wine production, ageing, and bottling processes take place. You'll also explore the historic "Bodega de los 120 Patriotas" and hear the compelling story behind its name. This tour lasts 1 hour and includes a tasting of one reserve wine and two grand reserve wines, along with a cut glass as a souvenir.

Today, at the appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport in preparation for your flight to Puerto Natales. Once arrived in Puerto Natales you will be met by a tour representative and transferred to the hotel where you will enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

Puerto Natales is a city in Chilean Patagonia, located 247 kilometres northwest of Punta Arenas and the primary transit point for travellers heading to Torres del Paine National Park. Originally it was inhabited by the Kawésqar and the Tehuelche tribes, followed by European settlements and later by Chilean people, all attracted by the sheep farming industry. Nowadays it is an important tourism hub and known for its world-class gastronomy.

Today's activity is a full-day trek to explore the stunning landscapes of Torres del Paine National Park including the Milodón Cave, wildlife, waterfalls and icebergs over Grey Lake. As an alternative, you have the opportunity to participate in a full-day trek to Las Torres Base. Select this alternative option at checkout to get a close-up view of the three iconic granite towers and the milky-green lake at the base.

This morning set off on a full-day tour to discover Milodón Cave and the Torres del Paine National Park. First visit Cueva del Milodón, the monument is situated along the flanks of Cerro Benitez. It comprises several caves and a rock formation called Silla del Diablo (Devil's Chair). The monument includes a cave which is notable for the discovery in 1895 of skin, bones and other parts of a ground sloth called Mylodon darwinii, from which the cave takes its name.

Continuing on the Torres del Paine through the Laguna Amarga section, on route you can observe the beautiful landscape featuring lagoons and mountain ranges including the Nordenskjold and Pehoé Lakes. Keep an eye out for guanacos, which is a non-domesticated alpaca, and rheas which is similar to an African ostrich and are native to the area. Stop at Salto Grande waterfall, the largest waterfall in the Torres del Paine, before continuing to the Pehoé section for a buffet lunch, consisting of soup, salad, main course, dessert and natural juice. After lunch the tour continues towards the Grey Glacier sector, where there will be a stop of approximately 45 minutes to enjoy some soft trekking between a Lenga forest and getting to see some icebergs over the Grey Lake. On the return trip, leave the park through Laguna Amarga or Serrano sector. Red foxes and condors usually accompany the beautiful panoramic views of the Paine massif.

Arrival back in Puerto Natales is expected around 19:00.

Torres del Paine National Park, in Chilean Patagonia, is known for its spectacular hiking trails, but the most iconic hike is to Mirador las Torres, a lookout at the base of the park’s three distinctive granite peaks. Known as Torres del Paine, or the “blue towers'', these rocky peaks overlook a dazzling turquoise lake nestled in a mountainous valley. Leave Puerto Natales and head north towards the Torres del Paine National Park. There is a 2-hour trip to reach the starting point of the hike, on the way keep a look out for guanacos, grey foxes, rheas, flamingos and condors. First, your guide will give a short presentation, and then you will begin with a gentle trek on the trail that will take you to an old bridge that crosses the Asencio River. Walking through dense beech forests, stop to admire various waterfalls and hanging glaciers. After about 3 hours, start to ascend a steep moraine towards the highest observation point at 900 m above sea level. Here you will be rewarded with a close-up view of massive granite towers (2,850m high) and the milky-green lake at the base. This is a truly memorable sight, well worth the hike and this unforgettable moment will last many years in the future. Here enjoy a boxed lunch and rest before returning on the same trail until reaching the starting point.

In the morning, you will be transferred from the hotel to the pier in Puerto Bories, where you will board the boat and set sail toward the Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers. On the journey you’ll witness beautiful mountains, waterfalls, ranches and Patagonian bird life. Passing by the Balmaceda glacier and stopping at a small pier to begin a gentle hike through the lush forest of Coigües and Ñirres to the foot of the Serrano glacier. Afterwards, board the boat in preparation for the return trip to Puerto Natales. On the way you will enjoy a whisky aperitif with ancient glacier ice before stopping at Perales Tourist farm for lunch. Here enjoy a traditional style lunch of grilled lamb with boiled potatoes (includes also grilled chicken), a glass of wine or soft drink, salad and dessert (vegetarian option available). Today, drive approximately 5 hours to El Calafate. El Calafate is a town near the edge of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field in the Argentine province of Santa Cruz. It’s mainly known as the gateway to Los Glaciares National Park, home to the massive Perito Moreno Glacier, whose ever-shifting icy landscape is one of the most visited glaciers in the world. The name is derived from a little bush with yellow flowers and dark blue berries that are very common in Patagonia.

Once you arrive at the hotel, you can choose to enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure or participate in an optional tour.

The Argentino Lake is the third biggest lake in South America. Surrounded by mountains and fed by giant glaciers, this lake astonishes local and foreign visitors with its immensity and special colour. It was exactly this light blue colour, the mountains covered in white and the light blue sky that motivated Francisco P. Moreno to name it “Argentino". This is a 3-hour tour that offers an anthropological and historical approach to the passage of man in the El Calafate area, rediscovering the experiences of the first expeditions ventured into the unknown by the Santa Cruz River. The tour focuses on the history of the early explorers' contact with the Tehuelches (native Indians), crossing cliffs overlooking the lake on 4x4 vehicles and marvelling at views of the environment. Today you are heading to Perito Moreno Glacier in the Los Glaciares National Park. On the way you will be treated to a history of the Argentino Lake on the right and its shallowest part, Redonda Bay (Rounded Bay), populated by a large variety of birds, like black-necked swans, flamingos, steamer ducks, coots and Magellan gooses surrounded by yellow fields of “coirones'', a typical grass in Patagonia. Continuing on you will be treated to the timberline formed by “high deciduous beech” trees, white oak trees, “low deciduous beech” trees and some cinnamon trees. Flowers of several colours can be appreciated too, the “fire bush”, which stands out the most due to its deep red colour. All of them are typical Andean-Patagonian Forest species.

Perito Moreno Glacier is one of the most famous and awe-inspiring of Argentina's natural wonders. Standing before its 70-metre-high electric blue face and watching 100-tonne blocks of ice crumble and crash into the waters below is truly humbling. The Perito Moreno Glacier is over 30 kilometres in length and 5 kilometres wide at the face.

Scattered with boardwalks and viewing platforms along the glacier perimeter, you’ll get close enough to the action to hear ruptures of ice collapsing into the water. Whilst there are many glaciers in Argentina, Perito Moreno Glacier is by far the most spectacular and unique. The route of the visit will be closely related to weather conditions and participants’ willingness and physical conditions; the available time to walk through and visit the catwalks is 1 to 3 hours. The excursion is usually organised as a full-day program. The visit makes it possible to have different viewpoints of the glacier and enough time for lunch (boxed lunch provided).

Optional Tour: Safari Boat at Perito Moreno Glacier
This tour is a voyage of one hour by the Rico branch of Argentino Lake in order to appreciate the majestic south wall of the Perito Moreno Glacier. This glacier ice wall is about 60 metres high and 100 metres below lake level. The boat comes about 200m from where the glacier touches the Magallanes Peninsula and then goes at length (about 3km) south allowing you to enjoy the landslides that occur daily and the magical beauty of its seracs, cracks and intense blue. This service is carried out with the boat Yagan, with a capacity for 110 passengers. Boarding takes place at the port on the Bay "Under the Shadow", about 7 kilometres before the glacier viewpoint. On this full-day tour, you will have the opportunity to get up close to two of the most significant glaciers: Upsala and Spegazzini. In addition, you will see the most spectacular Patagonian scenery. From the hotel, head to Puerto Bandera Port where you'll board the boat, travelling up the North Arm of Lake Argentino. Cross the Boca del Diablo to the Upsala Canal and navigate between large icebergs that emerge from the front of the Upsala Glacier. Sail through the Spegazzini Channel and moments later, enjoy the first view of the Dry Glacier. Continue sailing to the front of the Spegazzini Glacier to contemplate the Heim Sur and Peineta glaciers.

Disembark in The Spegazzini Base to begin walking through from the forest path to the Spegazzini Refuge. Stop for some viewpoints overlooking the entire Bay of Los Glaciers. In the refuge, you can stop for a sit-down lunch (additional charge), visit the shop or just contemplate the landscape.

For those who like to walk, they can take the mountain path. This tour is of medium difficulty trekking through a wooded road, with natural viewpoints, full of incredible views that end at the landing point. The forest trail covers 300 metres from the point of disembarking up to the Spegazzini Shelter. During this walk, there will be stops in different stations (glaciology - history - flora and fauna) and have access to different viewpoints. This is an easy path, which offers no complexity. A boxed lunch will be provided as part of this day tour.

Afterwards, you will be returned to the hotel to enjoy the evening at leisure. The itinerary is liable to change according to weather and sailing conditions for the day.

Embark on an adventure early in the morning and head towards the legendary Route 40. This route skirts the Argentino Lake, crosses the Santa Cruz and La Leona Rivers and arrives, after 1.15 hours at the Parador La Leona (almost a museum of Route 40). Later, you’ll continue along Lake Viedma, having the Andes in the background and, before reaching El Chalten, you'll stop to enjoy the beautiful views of the Viedma Lake and Glacier, and the Andes in the background with the emblematic Mount Fitz Roy and Mount Torre.

After 3 hours and 220 kilometres travelled, you will arrive at the mountain village of El Chalten. Once in the village, your guide will give everyone their lunch box, and then they will indicate the start of the self-guided trails that lead to the main viewpoints: Capri Lagoon, Fitz Roy First Look Out, Mirador de Los Cóndores, Salto del Chorrillo. Reserved until a few years ago to climbers and explorers, reaching El Chaltén, at the foot of the mythical Mount Fitz Roy continues to be one of the most beautiful and awaited spectacles by travellers to southern Patagonia. El Chaltén is an ideal place for trekking, highlighted by the approaches to the Fitz Roy (also named Chaltén), Cerro Torre, Torre, and Grande glaciers and the lagoons Capri, Torre, and De Los Tres, among many other incredibly beautiful destinations.

Please note: While independently exploring, choose shorter treks. Longer treks like the Laguna de los Tres or Torre Lagoon take over 8 hours to complete and are therefore not available.

In the evening, at approximately 18:30, you will be picked up from the hotel and transferred to Aljibe Tango for a 3-course dinner and tango show. Aljibe Tango Show is located in the heart of the San Telmo neighbourhood, in a fully-restored historic barn. This tango venue is a classic site celebrating bueno Aires’ culture and customs. The interiors, which preserve the history of the building, are the ideal setting for a unique show with artists on stage: two tango orchestras, a set of folk music, dancers and singers. You’ll first stop at Plaza de Mayo, an important foundational site for the countries’ political past, surrounded by emblematic buildings. This evening, enjoy The Argentine Experience: Over the course of 4 hours, you will learn about the Argentina culture, taste fantastic local dishes, drink exceptional wine and mingle with fellow travellers from around the world. Wine, steak, empanadas, sweets, and Mate tea, all in one unforgettable culinary extravaganza in Buenos Aires. A unique dinner party concept that will teach you the fundamentals of what being an Argentine is all about. Learn how to close your own empanada using the "repulgue" technique, how to order steak your way in Spanish, how to prepare your own "Mate" tea, learning also typical words, phrases and a wide range of gestures.

The evening will get off to a spectacular start with an "empanada" making class. Learn how to make this staple ingredient of Argentine cuisine, competing at the end of the challenge, with a prize for the best "empanada". Then you will sit back and enjoy the rest of the groups creations, along with grilled provoleta cheese and sliced chorizo sausage with chimichurri. Puerto Natales is a city in Chilean Patagonia, located 247 kilometres northwest of Punta Arenas and the primary transit point for travellers heading to Torres del Paine National Park. Originally it was inhabited by the Kawésqar and the Tehuelche tribes, followed by European settlements and later by Chilean people, all attracted by the sheep farming industry. Nowadays it is an important tourism hub and known for its world-class gastronomy.

Today's activity is a full-day trek to explore the stunning landscapes of Torres del Paine National Park including the Milodón Cave, wildlife, waterfalls and icebergs over Grey Lake. As an alternative, you have the opportunity to participate in a full-day trek to Las Torres Base. This morning set off on a full-day tour to discover Milodón Cave and the Torres del Paine National Park. First visit Cueva del Milodón, the monument is situated along the flanks of Cerro Benitez. It comprises several caves and a rock formation called Silla del Diablo (Devil's Chair). The monument includes a cave which is notable for the discovery in 1895 of skin, bones and other parts of a ground sloth called Mylodon darwinii, from which the cave takes its name.

Continuing on the Torres del Paine through the Laguna Amarga section, on route you can observe the beautiful landscape featuring lagoons and mountain ranges including the Nordenskjold and Pehoé Lakes. Keep an eye out for guanacos, which is a non-domesticated alpaca, and rheas which is similar to an African ostrich and are native to the area. Stop at Salto Grande waterfall, the largest waterfall in the Torres del Paine, before continuing to the Pehoé section for a buffet lunch, consisting of soup, salad, main course, dessert and natural juice. After lunch the tour continues towards the Grey Glacier sector, where there will be a stop of approximately 45 minutes to enjoy some soft trekking between a Lenga forest and getting to see some icebergs over the Grey Lake. On the return trip, leave the park through Laguna Amarga or Serrano sector. Red foxes and condors usually accompany the beautiful panoramic views of the Paine massif. 
 
Arrival back in Puerto Natales is expected around 19:00.

Torres del Paine National Park, in Chilean Patagonia, is known for its spectacular hiking trails, but the most iconic hike is to Mirador las Torres, a lookout at the base of the park’s three distinctive granite peaks. Known as Torres del Paine, or the “blue towers'', these rocky peaks overlook a dazzling turquoise lake nestled in a mountainous valley. Leave Puerto Natales and head north towards the Torres del Paine National Park. There is a 2-hour trip to reach the starting point of the hike, on the way keep a look out for guanacos, grey foxes, rheas, flamingos and condors. First, your guide will give a short presentation, and then you will begin with a gentle trek on the trail that will take you to an old bridge that crosses the Asencio River. Walking through dense beech forests, stop to admire various waterfalls and hanging glaciers. After about 3 hours, start to ascend a steep moraine towards the highest observation point at 900 m above sea level. Here you will be rewarded with a close-up view of massive granite towers (2,850m high) and the milky-green lake at the base. This is a truly memorable sight, well worth the hike and this unforgettable moment will last many years in the future. Here enjoy a boxed lunch and rest before returning on the same trail until reaching the starting point.

In the morning, you will be transferred from the hotel to the pier in Puerto Bories, where you will board the boat and set sail toward the Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers. On the journey you’ll witness beautiful mountains, waterfalls, ranches and Patagonian bird life. Passing by the Balmaceda glacier and stopping at a small pier to begin a gentle hike through the lush forest of Coigües and Ñirres to the foot of the Serrano glacier. Afterwards, board the boat in preparation for the return trip to Puerto Natales. On the way you will enjoy a whisky aperitif with ancient glacier ice before stopping at Perales Tourist farm for lunch. Here enjoy a traditional style lunch of grilled lamb with boiled potatoes (includes also grilled chicken), a glass of wine or soft drink, salad and dessert (vegetarian option available). Today, drive approximately 5 hours to El Calafate. El Calafate is a town near the edge of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field in the Argentine province of Santa Cruz. It’s mainly known as the gateway to Los Glaciares National Park, home to the massive Perito Moreno Glacier, whose ever-shifting icy landscape is one of the most visited glaciers in the world. The name is derived from a little bush with yellow flowers and dark blue berries that are very common in Patagonia.

Once you arrive at the hotel, you can choose to enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure or participate in an optional tour.

The Argentino Lake is the third biggest lake in South America. Surrounded by mountains and fed by giant glaciers, this lake astonishes local and foreign visitors with its immensity and special colour. It was exactly this light blue colour, the mountains covered in white and the light blue sky that motivated Francisco P. Moreno to name it “Argentino". This is a 3-hour tour that offers an anthropological and historical approach to the passage of man in the El Calafate area, rediscovering the experiences of the first expeditions ventured into the unknown by the Santa Cruz River. The tour focuses on the history of the early explorers' contact with the Tehuelches (native Indians), crossing cliffs overlooking the lake on 4x4 vehicles and marvelling at views of the environment. Today you are heading to Perito Moreno Glacier in the Los Glaciares National Park. On the way you will be treated to a history of the Argentino Lake on the right and its shallowest part, Redonda Bay (Rounded Bay), populated by a large variety of birds, like black-necked swans, flamingos, steamer ducks, coots and Magellan gooses surrounded by yellow fields of “coirones'', a typical grass in Patagonia. Continuing on you will be treated to the timberline formed by “high deciduous beech” trees, white oak trees, “low deciduous beech” trees and some cinnamon trees. Flowers of several colours can be appreciated too, the “fire bush”, which stands out the most due to its deep red colour. All of them are typical Andean-Patagonian Forest species.

Perito Moreno Glacier is one of the most famous and awe-inspiring of Argentina's natural wonders. Standing before its 70-metre-high electric blue face and watching 100-tonne blocks of ice crumble and crash into the waters below is truly humbling. The Perito Moreno Glacier is over 30 kilometres in length and 5 kilometres wide at the face.

Scattered with boardwalks and viewing platforms along the glacier perimeter, you’ll get close enough to the action to hear ruptures of ice collapsing into the water. Whilst there are many glaciers in Argentina, Perito Moreno Glacier is by far the most spectacular and unique. The route of the visit will be closely related to weather conditions and participants’ willingness and physical conditions; the available time to walk through and visit the catwalks is 1 to 3 hours. The excursion is usually organised as a full-day program. The visit makes it possible to have different viewpoints of the glacier and enough time for lunch (boxed lunch provided).

Optional Tour: Safari Boat at Perito Moreno Glacier
This tour is a voyage of one hour by the Rico branch of Argentino Lake in order to appreciate the majestic south wall of the Perito Moreno Glacier. This glacier ice wall is about 60 metres high and 100 metres below lake level. The boat comes about 200m from where the glacier touches the Magallanes Peninsula and then goes at length (about 3km) south allowing you to enjoy the landslides that occur daily and the magical beauty of its seracs, cracks and intense blue. This service is carried out with the boat Yagan, with a capacity for 110 passengers. Boarding takes place at the port on the Bay "Under the Shadow", about 7 kilometres before the glacier viewpoint. On this full-day tour, you will have the opportunity to get up close to two of the most significant glaciers: Upsala and Spegazzini. In addition, you will see the most spectacular Patagonian scenery. From the hotel, head to Puerto Bandera Port where you'll board the boat, travelling up the North Arm of Lake Argentino. Cross the Boca del Diablo to the Upsala Canal and navigate between large icebergs that emerge from the front of the Upsala Glacier. Sail through the Spegazzini Channel and moments later, enjoy the first view of the Dry Glacier. Continue sailing to the front of the Spegazzini Glacier to contemplate the Heim Sur and Peineta glaciers.

Disembark in The Spegazzini Base to begin walking through from the forest path to the Spegazzini Refuge. Stop for some viewpoints overlooking the entire Bay of Los Glaciers. In the refuge, you can stop for a sit-down lunch (additional charge), visit the shop or just contemplate the landscape.

For those who like to walk, they can take the mountain path. This tour is of medium difficulty trekking through a wooded road, with natural viewpoints, full of incredible views that end at the landing point. The forest trail covers 300 metres from the point of disembarking up to the Spegazzini Shelter. During this walk, there will be stops in different stations (glaciology - history - flora and fauna) and have access to different viewpoints. This is an easy path, which offers no complexity. A boxed lunch will be provided as part of this day tour.

Afterwards, you will be returned to the hotel to enjoy the evening at leisure. The itinerary is liable to change according to weather and sailing conditions for the day.

Embark on an adventure early in the morning and head towards the legendary Route 40. This route skirts the Argentino Lake, crosses the Santa Cruz and La Leona Rivers and arrives, after 1.15 hours at the Parador La Leona (almost a museum of Route 40). Later, you’ll continue along Lake Viedma, having the Andes in the background and, before reaching El Chalten, you'll stop to enjoy the beautiful views of the Viedma Lake and Glacier, and the Andes in the background with the emblematic Mount Fitz Roy and Mount Torre.

After 3 hours and 220 kilometres travelled, you will arrive at the mountain village of El Chalten. Once in the village, your guide will give everyone their lunch box, and then they will indicate the start of the self-guided trails that lead to the main viewpoints: Capri Lagoon, Fitz Roy First Look Out, Mirador de Los Cóndores, Salto del Chorrillo. Reserved until a few years ago to climbers and explorers, reaching El Chaltén, at the foot of the mythical Mount Fitz Roy continues to be one of the most beautiful and awaited spectacles by travellers to southern Patagonia. El Chaltén is an ideal place for trekking, highlighted by the approaches to the Fitz Roy (also named Chaltén), Cerro Torre, Torre, and Grande glaciers and the lagoons Capri, Torre, and De Los Tres, among many other incredibly beautiful destinations.

Aljibe Tango Show is located in the heart of the San Telmo neighbourhood, in a fully-restored historic barn. This tango venue is a classic site celebrating Bueno Aires’ culture and customs. The interiors, which preserve the history of the building, are the ideal setting for a unique show with artists on stage: two tango orchestras, a set of folk music, dancers and singers. Today you will be picked up from the hotel and transferred to the airport for your flight to Cusco! Upon arrival, your guide will take you to the Sacred Valley and visit Chinchero on the way.

Admire the beautiful panoramas en route to the sacred valley as you drive through rugged mountainous ranges and small unique villages. You’ll experience and witness an authentic Peruvian demonstration of the ancient Andean tradition of textile-making from naturally dyed handwoven alpaca wool and interact with the locals.

The remainder of the day will be at your leisure when you arrive at your hotel.

After breakfast, around 08:00, you will be picked up from the hotel on a full-day excursion to Maras, Moray and Ollantaytambo; one of Peru's oldest archeological sites.

You’ll explore Moray ruins first, to view the large amphitheatre-like agricultural terraces overlooking the Sacred Valley, once used as an experimental, botanical farm by the Incas over 500 years ago.

Next you’ll head to Maras; home to more than 3,000 salt pools carved into the mountainside, which were used by the Incas and possibly pre-Inca civilizations, to catch highly salt water as it emerges from the natural springs in the mountains. Maras is known for these ancient salt mines where they have been harvesting the finest pink salt for over 500 years and are still being used today. You’ll be amazed as you learn of the salt harvesting process!

After a lunch break to a local restaurant (not included), you’ll reach the final stop of your tour to the wonderful Inca town and the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo. Once the royal estate of the Inca emperor Pachacuti, you’ll spend some time here exploring these magnificent ruins and visiting the amazing Temple of the Sun. Marvel at the perfectly carved and polished structures built by master Inca stonemasons and the fine example of agricultural construction and hydro-engineering Ollantaytambo has to offer. Walking towards the town square, we will have great views of the ruins above us, as well as the Inca granaries and warehouses built into the surrounding mountain slopes.

Option 1: Visit Pisac Market & Ruins
This morning you will be transferred to Inca Pachacutec, which is divided into 2 zones; the Residential Zone and the Ceremonial Zone, where the Incas worshipped their Sun God. Next, you will be able to appreciate an Inca cemetery (Tankanamarka) where the tombs were looted and now they are empty. Continuing on, visit the ancient Inca canals. Then visit Pisac Pueblo to see the traditional market where you will find different items such as silverware, crafts, and textiles. Afterwards, transfer to the Ollantaytambo train station to board the scenic Expedition Train to Aguas Calientes. Once you arrive in Aguas Calientes you will head to the hotel accommodation and check in. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

Option 2: Inca Trail Day Trek
The day begins with a transfer to the train station, where you will board the expedition train for a scenic journey to a point known as Kilometer 104, this is the starting point for our short Inca trek. From here, we have a walk of about four hours up to the Inca site of Wiñay Wayna ('Forever Young'), at about 2,680 meters (8,792 feet) above sea level. Wiñay Wayna is an impressive Inca ruin built into a steep hillside overlooking the Urubamba River. It consists of an upper and lower section of housing or storage, connected by an Inca staircase and a cascade of water channels and fountains. Almost the entire hillside above and below the structures is covered by beautiful Inca agricultural terraces. As well as being an agricultural centre, Wiñay Wayna was also a religious or ceremonial site. After exploring Wiñay Wayna, continue the trek all the way to Inti Punku (the Sun Gate). From the Sun Gate, have your first, dramatic view of Machu Picchu. It is believed that Inti Punku was once the main entrance to Machu Picchu. The site was dedicated to Inti, the Inca sun god, and was positioned on a ridge near Machu Picchu at just the right location to allow the rising sun to pass through the gate each year on the summer solstice. Continue the trek down towards Machu Picchu, moving tantalisingly close to the famous citadel. But before you reach Machu Picchu, take a side path off the trail and head down to Aguas Calientes, leaving the exploration of Machu for the following day, when you'll have more time to explore.

Aguas Calientes is the gateway to Machu Picchu, sitting in a deep gorge at the foot of the mountain on which Machu Picchu stands. It is a beautiful town that mixes traditional life with a huge tourist infrastructure, with a multitude of markets, souvenir shops, hotels and restaurants. It's also largely pedestrianised, making it a fun place to explore on foot. Aguas Calientes is surrounded by jungle-covered mountains and cliffs, and the Urubamba River flows right by the town.

Today is an early start, at approximately 05.30 be picked up and board the bus to the citadel of Machu Picchu. You will have time for an early breakfast before being picked up this morning.

Pass through the gates into the Machu Picchu archaeological site. Here you’ll be guided on a two-hour tour to the most famous and most spectacular parts of the extensive archaeological complex. These include the House of the Guardian, Intihuatana, Temple of the Sun, Sacred Plaza and other key locations. As you walk around, have spectacular views across the agricultural terraces of Machu Picchu and across to the surrounding mountains and plunging gorges.

Once you have finished your tour of Machu Picchu, take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes where you can relax and have lunch (not included) before boarding the train back to Poroy and Cusco. Upon arrival at the station, a tour representative will be waiting for you to take you back to the hotel in Cusco.

Today you will enjoy a guided tour of beautiful Cusco. First head to the wonderful Koricancha, next door to Santo Domingo Church. The Koricancha was the most sacred and most important temple in the Incan Empire. Its walls were covered with gold, and life-size statues of plants and animals – all made of pure gold and silver. Sadly, this wealth was stripped out by the Spanish conquistadors.

Next head to Cusco Cathedral, located on the Plaza de Armas. Built between 1560 and 1654 on top of the foundations of an existing Inca temple, this spectacular cathedral houses many works of art by the Cusco School of painters, and its main altar and pulpit are covered in gold and silver relief work.

The next stop is the imposing Incan fortress of Sacsayhuaman, which sits on a hill above Cusco. See some of the finest examples of Inca stonework and construction, including massive rocks that were carefully cut and perfectly fitted together to form the walls. From here you can enjoy beautiful panoramic views of Cusco. After exploring Sacsayhuaman, head up the hill to the Tambomachay Archeological Complex. The exact purpose of this site is unknown, but it may have functioned, at least in part, as an Incan spa.

After the tour, you will be returned to the hotel where you will enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

After breakfast, enjoy a free day to explore Cusco at your own leisure. The capital city of the Incan Empire is now the undisputed archaeological capital of the Americas, as well as the continent’s oldest continuously inhabited city.

TOUR GUIDE VS. TOUR LEADER
Tour Guide
Often locals with intimate knowledge of an area, its culture, and history. Their role entails providing commentary, routing the tour, and seeing that people have a good time. They are a licensed, qualified expert who supplies specific information on the history, art, architecture and culture of the city/village/attraction where they are guiding the tour. The guide meets the group at the required place and leaves it at the end of the tour; they do not travel with the group.

Tour Leader
An experienced person tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of tours, as well as providing practical support to passengers throughout the whole trip. Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides at each stop. A tour leader may provide general guidance around a city or village and offer information on the place visited on the bus. However, they are not required to have specific art, architecture, or historical knowledge. They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction once there and, if caught doing so, can be fined.

Please note: Tour leaders/guides are not a standard inclusion in all travel offers. Tour leaders/guides will only be made available when required to enhance the experience of the destination featured.

CLIMATE & AVERAGE TEMPERATURES
Patagonia: October - April
The weather in Patagonia is mostly mild, between lows of 4˚C (39.2˚F) and highs of 18˚C (64.4˚F). In their summer months (December to February), this is the height of their growth season, so you will definitely see landscapes full of greenery. There will be warmer days and cool nights and potentially strong winds and rains. This is generally the peak tourist season. Argentina can be hot and humid during their summer months with potential rains. You can expect temperatures in Argentina to range from 19˚C to 30˚C. Southern Chile experiences temperatures of 12˚C to 25˚C.

The general rainy season in Patagonia is during the months of April and May, during the autumn and potentially from November to January, with less intensity. Rainy season in Chile ranges from May to August with averages of 72-90mm of rain per month, whilst in Argentina it ranges from October to March with averages of 100mm of rain per month.

Cusco, Peru
Cusco has a subtropical highland climate due to its elevation (3500m above sea level). It is generally dry and temperate, with two defined seasons. The dry season lasts from May to August, with abundant sunshine and occasional nighttime freezes. July is the coldest month with an average of 9.7°C. The wet season lasts from December to March, with night frost less common. November averages 13.3°C. Temperatures usually range from 0.2°C to 20.9°C.

We do not arrange seat selection. It is essential to highlight that some airlines do not allow pre-selected seats. We strongly suggest you contact the airline directly with seating allocation requirements and/or arrive at the airport earlier to arrange your seating. While we do not add frequent flyer member details to bookings, you can do this directly with the airline once you have your flight information.
 
Passport Validity
Customers must provide valid passport details either at the time of purchase or no later than 90 days before the departure date. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the booking. Customers will be responsible for any costs and fees incurred in this instance.

COACH TOUR
Meals
For meals not included, the tour leader (when available) will offer assistance with reservations, suggestions and directions to local restaurants. It is your responsibility to notify us of any dietary requests/requirements.
Please note: We will do our best to meet your requests/requirements; however, we cannot guarantee that we will always be able to.

Luggage
You will be responsible for all your personal belongings whilst on tour. You must carry your own luggage from the vehicle to the hotel room and back to the vehicle. The driver will assist with the uploading and unloading of bags from the vehicle.

Fitness Level Required
A leisurely to moderate level of fitness will be required. Moderate level of fitness is described as involving more physical activity, including biking, longer day hikes or extended walking and standing, low-altitude treks, and water-based activities such as canoeing or low-grade kayaking. Guests using any walking aid other than a walking stick would be advised to reconsider as surfaces may be uneven.

Yellow Fever
A valid international certificate of vaccination against Yellow Fever is required in many countries. You may need to present this on arrival at the airport or border crossing. Some countries will refuse entry if you are unable to present your certificate. It's also common for your home country to request a Yellow Fever certificate upon arrival. You must check with your doctor well before leaving home about the Yellow Fever requirements for the countries you'll be visiting.

Gratuities/Tipping
Land
Gratuities (tips) are not included for the services of the tour leader (when available) and driver throughout the tour. The recommended tip is $10-15 USD per person per day. This covers the guide/leader and the driver and will be collected on tour.

Please note: Tipping for services provided is always a matter of personal discretion; however, please be aware that many locals consider tipping part of their normal remuneration, and they may approach you for payment; there's no need to be intimidated by the request.

Sightseeing
Please note: If entry to a site is affected by changes in operating hours or public holiday closures, your itinerary, where possible, may be adjusted, or a similar activity will be offered in its place (subject to availability).

Shopping
Shopping overseas can be a daunting and confusing experience, especially when there is a language barrier. Please be very cautious when foreign currencies and prices are involved. If paying by credit card, please pay close attention to the amount you are being charged and keep all your receipts. Do not make any purchases you are not comfortable with or feel pressured into. If you are uncertain or need assistance with the language barrier, please seek assistance from your Tour Guide/Leader. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions regarding shopping for further information.

Chile
To enter Chile, Australian citizens must obtain a valid visa before arrival. With this visa, you can enter Chile for up to 90 days for recreational, sports, health, study, business, family or other similar purposes. If you are transiting via Chile, you will still need to apply for a visa if the transit time is over 8 hours and you need to pass the immigration point. Entry and exit conditions can change at short notice. Contact the Embassy or Consulate of Chile for details about visas, currency, customs and quarantine rules.

See E-visa para Australia (in Spanish) for visa requirements and the link to the application form. Visa applications can be lodged online directly on the Online website (Spanish). You can choose between English and Spanish. Once you've submitted your application, it will be reviewed by the Chilean Consulate you selected in the application. The validity period of your tourist visa is likely to be based on the travel dates you defined in your application form. Make sure you consider this when selecting from the visa options. Visas must be lodged through the SAC CIUDADANOS portal only https://tramites.minrel.gov.cl/.
 
Argentina
As a tourist, you can stay for up to 90 days without a visa, but you'll need:
• A return or onward ticket
• A valid passport
• Travel/medical insurance

Please note:
• You don't need to undertake a Covid-19 test before travelling.
• You will need to have travel or medical insurance coverage for your time in Argentina, which covers you in case of hospital admission for Covid-19.
 • Visit Argentina's National Directorate for Migration's website for up-to-date information on entry requirements (website in Spanish).
 
Peru
Australian tourists don't need a visa. You can get a permit to stay for up to 3 months when you arrive. If you overstay your permit, you'll have to pay a fine before leaving the country. In other situations, you'll need to apply for a visa through an embassy or consulate of Peru. Entry and exit conditions can change at short notice. You can contact the nearest embassy or consulate of Peru for the latest details. They'll tell you about visas, currency, customs and other travel requirements.

Important: 
• Please start arranging your visa three weeks before departure to account for any delays due to consulate operating hours.
• Visa rules may have changed since Covid-19. Some countries and airlines may require you to obtain an additional visa before arrival. Please check with the nearest embassy, consulate or immigration department of the destination you're entering.

Please note: 
• Passengers who are not Australian citizens must also check with the respective consulate or visa agency to determine what their visa requirements are and what personal identification is required.
• It is also important to note that some areas of employment, such as journalism, government authorities and charity organisations, may have additional restrictions in applying for visas. This may, in turn, affect the type of application required.

Supplier Fees
In the event the tour package you have purchased is unable to proceed, and/or a travel Supplier is unable to fulfil the tour due to external circumstances (Limitation of Liability e.g. a Force Majeure event), there may be a fee or amount of money that is withheld by our Suppliers and is unrecoverable. This may be due to non-refundable airline tickets, cancellation penalties with cruise cabins or unrecoverable payments with our land/accommodation partners. If refunds are not available from Suppliers, we will endeavour to obtain a travel credit on the best terms available and communicate these outcomes to you. In the event we are unable to obtain a refund or travel service credit, or part thereof, this cost is passed on to the customer as a Supplier Fee.
