The best time to visit South America depends on your destination and activities. It’s best to visit Northern regions like the Amazon and Colombia from December to March when the weather is drier. Head to the Andean regions of Machu Picchu and Bolivia from May to October for clear skies and ideal trekking conditions. Southern regions such as Patagonia are best explored from November to March when temperatures are milder and days are longer.
