Ajaccio town hall, or Hotel de Ville, is a charming, historic building that was erected between 1824 and 1830, while Charles X was king. Within the building you’ll find Salon Napoleon, which houses a number of artefacts including Napoleonic works of art. The Imperial Chapel is also considered a historic monument, having been built in 1857 and consecrated in 1860. Built upon the request of Cardinal Fesch, the chapel is in fact the right wing of Palais Fesch, which also houses the Cardinal’s impressive collection of Italian paintings.

Tino Rossi Marina, named after famous Corsican singer and actor, is peppered with palm trees and home to charming shops, restaurants, and pretty pastel facades that beg to be photographed. Fata Morgana, or mirage, have also been known to appear on the horizon here. Historically thought to be conjured up by sorceresses to lure unsuspecting sailors, these mirages take shape when the atmosphere is just so and have been witnessed when looking towards Sicily from Calabria. Combined with spectacular coastal scenery, including the mountain ranges of Monte Dinnammare and Peloritani, a sail along the Strait of Messina holds the promise of many magical encounters.

The old port of Marseille has a history which spans back many decades. It was first settled in 600 BC by Greeks landing in an empty Mediterranean cove – now the old port of Marseille. What is now St Victor’s Abbey was built between the third and ninth centuries to the south of the Old Port. Until the 19th century, the Old Port remained the epicentre of all maritime activity in Marseille. Work began on revitalising the Old Port in 1948 and many additions and new features were added to it over the years. Today, the Old Port is used as a marina and centre of activity for visitors. It prospered further in the 17th century, when an outer ring of walls was added to the city, and beautiful new buildings were added by celebrated architects such as Galeazzo Alessi.

The Dardanelles Strait is a natural body of water connecting the Aegean Sea with the Sea of Marmara, in western Türkiye. When you’ve had your fill of historic landmarks, Istanbul offers plenty of other ways to spend your time, whether you’re looking for hustle and bustle or something more relaxed. The world-famous Grand Bazaar started off life as a small warehouse in the mid-15th century. Over time, stalls and Persian caravanserais (roadside inns) set up close by, and it gradually grew to become the labyrinth of over 4,000 shops and eateries that stands today. In Türkiye, a bath isn’t just a bath. It’s more akin to a ceremony. Something to be savoured. In Istanbul you can partake in this traditional and authentic experience in one of many hammams. The cruise terminal in Istanbul is around 3 kilometres from the city centre. On a cooler day, you might want to walk over the bridge to take in the incredible view of domes and minarets, but if not, or if it’s too hot, you’ll find shuttle buses available.

As you sail in this unique part of the world, perhaps find an idyllic spot out on deck. As the Cunard Queen makes her way along the strait, keep a camera to hand to capture those special views to look back at again and again.

The Dardanelles Strait is a known migration hot spot for fish species looking to swim to the Black Sea to graze, and while you’d be lucky to sight these, check the skies above for migrating birds too. TOUR GUIDE VS. TOUR LEADER
Tour Guide: 
Often locals with intimate knowledge of an area, its culture, and history. Their role entails providing commentary, routing the tour, and seeing that people have a good time. They are a licensed, qualified expert who supplies specific information on the history, art, architecture and culture of the city/village/attraction where they are guiding the tour. The guide meets the group at the required place and leaves it at the end of the tour; they do not travel with the group. 

Tour Leader: 
An experienced person tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of tours, as well as providing practical support to passengers throughout the whole trip. Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides at each stop. A tour leader may provide general guidance around a city or village and offer information on the place visited on the bus. However, they are not required to have specific art, architecture, or historical knowledge. They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction once there and, if caught doing so, can be fined.

You will be responsible for your own luggage and have the ability to board all modes of transport without assistance. Please note: Some areas may be inaccessible to wheelchairs or mobility scooters, with personal walking sticks and other aids required should they be needed. Although some assistance may be available, every traveller should be self-reliant during all aspects of their travel.

Yellow Fever:
A valid international certificate of vaccination against Yellow Fever is required in many countries. You may need to present this on arrival at the airport or border crossing. Some countries will refuse entry if you are unable to present your certificate. It's also common for your home country to request a Yellow Fever certificate upon arrival.
You must check with your doctor well before leaving home about the Yellow Fever requirements for the countries you'll be visiting.

Sightseeing:
Please note: If entry to a site is affected by changes in operating hours or public holiday closures, your itinerary, where possible, may be adjusted, or a similar activity will be offered in its place (subject to availability).

Shopping: 
Shopping overseas can be a daunting and confusing experience, especially when there is a language barrier. Please be very cautious when foreign currencies and prices are involved. If paying by credit card, please pay close attention to the amount you are being charged and keep all your receipts. 
Do not make any purchases you are not comfortable with or feel pressured into. If you are uncertain or need assistance with the language barrier, please seek assistance from your Tour Guide/Leader.

Europe (Shengen Visa Countries)
A tourist visa is not required for Europe for stays up to 90 days if travelling on an Australian passport. 
 
Türkiye
According to the Law on Foreigners and International Protection which entered into force on 11th April 2014, those foreigners who arrive at seaports and intend to visit the seaport city or nearby provinces for touristic purposes are exempt from visa provided that their stay does not exceed 72 hours.

Supplier Fees
In the event the tour package you have purchased is unable to proceed, and/or a Travel Supplier is unable to fulfil the tour due to external circumstances (Limitation of Liability e.g. a Force Majeure event), there may be a fee or amount of money that is withheld by our Suppliers and is unrecoverable. This may be due to non-refundable airline tickets, cancellation penalties with cruise cabins or unrecoverable payments with our land/accommodation partners. If refunds are not available from Suppliers, we will endeavour to obtain a travel credit on the best terms available and communicate these outcomes to you. In the event we are unable to obtain a refund or travel service credit, or part thereof, this cost is passed on to the customer as a Supplier Fee.
