There are some destinations you visit once and feel like you’ve experienced pretty much all there is to offer. Queenstown in the south of New Zealand is not one of them.
This alpine mecca in the Otago region, an easy two hour flight from Auckland, changes so much throughout the year that it’s like visiting a completely different destination.
Warm and inviting in summer, cosy in winter, and with autumns that see the surrounding forests ablaze in colours of red, orange and yellow. It’s the ultimate getaway for every season.
Someone else who’s a big fan of Queenstown is All Blacks Rugby Union legend, and our very own TripADeal New Zealand brand ambassador, Dan Carter. Like us, Dan is drawn back to the picture perfect lakeside village time and again. He’s been so often he’s practically a local.
