Our Global Partnerships Manager Maite agrees – and hasn’t stopped talking about it since! Her trip to Adaaran Club Rannalhi was all her Maldives dreams rolled into one.

Tell us about your trip to the Maldives
I visited the Maldives with my teenage son, and Adaaran Club Rannalhi was by far our favourite resort from the entire trip! The island is smaller in size, which means it is perfect for exploring and gives you a much more personal experience with both other guests and the staff. They are exceptional!
The rooms are only steps from the ocean and are extremely clean and inviting with a traditional island style of design.
The all inclusive meal and drinks plan was an absolute winner! There was a huge variety of food and it rotated each day with different offerings to cater for all tastes and age groups. The cuisine was from all corners of the world, but the seafood in particular was amazing! Dining times were flexible (within meal times) and snacks were available between meal times as well.
The drinks were plentiful and included cocktails (that tasted great) beer, spirits and more.

What did you enjoy most about the experience?
The fact I felt like I’d escaped to an absolute paradise! I had always dreamed of going to the Maldives and it is even more beautiful in real life. The house reef is only a few minutes snorkel from the shore and it has a great range of fish, rays, turtles, small friendly sharks and dolphins!
For the more adventurous there were plenty of watersport activities available from jet skis to windsurfing (my son loved this) and outer reef snorkelling excursions. I loved that being here allowed my family to unwind, disconnect from work/life at home and reconnect with each other. Don’t miss the optional early morning shark feeding excursion – it was my son’s highlight! I could go on 🙂
What surprised you about the resort/the Maldives?
Arriving at the airport I was so surprised to literally pick up my bags and then be greeted at the resort desk (at the airport). Within minutes I was taken outside to the speedboat pickup point. It is amazing how it all works so fluidly! Within a 30 min relaxing speedboat ride you arrive at the resort and are ready to explore or stop for a drink at the waterfront bar! I also had no idea how hospitable and friendly the staff would be. Nothing was too much trouble. They love Aussies and the vibe on the island was always so much fun. There is also a great spa – definitely book in for some treatments while you are there!
The Maldives is definitely a destination for all age groups!
What do you think would appeal most to Aussie travellers?
An all inclusive tropical getaway at this price!?!?! Definitely the outstanding value, the free flowing all inclusive drinks and the amazing sea life that surrounds this oasis by day and night. After dinner lots of guests head to the waterfront bar for some live music and dancing.
Also as we are in a Covid environment, the fact that Aussies can buy now and book later and travel right through until Nov 2022 is really good for peace of mind.
How easy was it to get to the Maldives?
Extremely easy! My suggestion would be with Sri Lankan Airlines or Singapore Airlines. The benefit of staying at Adaaran Club Rannalhi is that with the speedboat transfers you don’t have to worry about waiting around in Male for seaplane transfers! The speedboat connection is fast and will meet flights from early morning into the evening! You can leave Australia and be in Paradise by evening 🙂
