Trip A Deal Pty Ltd ("tripadeal.com.au" or "we") try to ensure that we only promote Deals that our Members will enjoy. We understand, however, that occasionally, this is not always the case. This Policy sets out the circumstances in which tripadeal.com.au may provide refunds to our Members ("Member" or "you") in respect of a specific Deal.
Tripadeal.com.au will provide an automatic refund where:
- we are required by law to do so;
- we have made a mistake in advertising a Deal that fundamentally misstates the product or service that is the subject of the Deal;
- prior to the redemption of the voucher during the Voucher Redemption Period, the provider of the Deal ceases trading or ceases to provide the goods or services the subject of the Deal.
Circumstances that DO NOT qualify for Refunds
The following circumstances DO NOT qualify for refunds:
- where you have contacted us after the conclusion of the voucher validity period. All refund requests must be submitted in writing while the DEAL is still valid
- where you have failed to read the Specific Terms and Conditions of the Deal (located under 'The Fine Print' section on our Website on the day of the Deal).
- if you change your mind after you have purchased a Deal (for whatever reason);
- if you are unable to obtain your preferred time to experience the Deal; or
- if you lose or misplace your voucher; or
- if the business on behalf of whom we are advertising the Deal does not honour the terms of the Deal because you have failed to present the voucher on redemption; or
- if you cannot redeem the Deal prior to the end of the Voucher Redemption Period due to travel commitments; or
- if you cancel a scheduled appointment such that the cancellation voids the voucher in accordance with the business' cancellation policy (for example, if you don't 'show up' for a scheduled appointment, or cancel an appointment without providing the notice period as provided by the relevant cancellation policy); or
- if you have had a dispute with the business on behalf of whom we are advertising the Deal; or
- if the Deal experience did not meet your general expectations (for whatever reason);
- if you are late for your booking, and the business decides to cancel your voucher; or
- If the Business does not have availability to redeem your voucher because you have not attempted to make a booking within a reasonable period of time (as determined by tripadeal.com.au) from the Voucher Expiry Date.
Submitting a request for a Refund
A request for a refund must be submitted via email@example.com. All Members requesting a refund will be required to provide full particulars as to why they are not satisfied with the quality of the goods and services that are the subject of a Deal.
Tripadeal.com.au will verify
Tripadeal.com.au will verify the validity and veracity of some or all of the particulars of a request for refund by consulting with the relevant merchant responsible for fulfilling the offer. Tripadeal.com.au may also ask you (by phone or email) to provide additional information in relation to the refund request.
Tripadeal.com.au may refuse request
In circumstances where we believe that a request for a refund does not fall within the scope of this Policy, is misleading, incorrect and/or deceptive or is otherwise invalid, tripadeal.com.au may, in its absolute discretion, refuse a refund request. Tripadeal.com.au is under no obligation to provide you with reasons as to why your request has been refused. Please note, any fraudulent refund requests will be immediately referred to the relevant authorities.
Refund to Credit Card
The refund will be credited to the Credit Card used to purchase the Deal. Any refund provided by tripadeal.com.au is in no way an admission of liability by or on behalf of tripadeal.com.au or the admission of any other fact in connection with any act or omission which led to the request for a refund being submitted by the Member.

What is TripADeal?
TripADeal is a Travel Deals website that specialises in delivering the most UNIQUE travel experiences across Australia and South-East Asia at the LOWEST prices possible. Our aim is to find you the coolest travel products in this region and bargain with the operators to get you the very best deal. In fact our deals should be the BEST you will find anywhere. If you happen to find the same deal featured somewhere else at a better price we will match it. That way you can be guaranteed that TripADeal price is ALWAYS going to be the best price.
How does it work?
Our mission is to make the purchase of our deals as simple as possible. All you have to do is check us out on your smartphone, tablet, lap-top or desktop PC and see what deals we are featuring on any given day. If you see something you like then select the deal, book your dates and press the buy button. It's that easy.
If you aren't sure of when you want to travel then you can always come back and book your dates later. Our unique real-time booking system allows you to choose dates at the time of your purchase or wait until later to make up your mind. You just have to book it before you travel AND obviously the sooner you book the more dates you will have to choose from.
All your purchases will be listed under the 'My Deals' tab when you are logged in. Here you will see all your vouchers both booked and unbooked. Unbooked vouchers can be booked using the drop-down calendar. Simply choose the dates you want and your voucher will move from unbooked to booked status. Your vouchers can be easily printed from here and if you happen to lose it just come back and print it again. Too easy.
How do I redeem my deal voucher?
The terms and conditions of the deal will be featured on both the 'Deal' page and the purchased voucher in the 'The Fine Print' section. These will outline the validity period, terms and conditions and other specific aspects of the deal. Even though your dates will have been booked it is advisable to contact the hotel/villa/operator hosting the deal and re-confirm your dates are locked into their system. Upon arrival you will be asked to present your voucher. This will contain all the features of the deal and any add-ons that are a part of that.
Is TripADeal safe to use?
All purchases on our site are processed through PAYPAL so you can rest assured that is a secure transaction. Your credit card details are not stored on our system at all. If you have a PayPal account you can use that to purchase products or you can simply make individual card transactions without an account.

How do I redeem my deal voucher?
The terms and conditions of the deal will be featured on both the 'Deal' page and the purchased voucher in the 'The Fine Print' section. These will outline the validity period, booking procedure and other specific aspects of the deal. In most cases you will be required to contact the business owner and book your travel ahead of time.
Is TripADeal safe to use?
TripADeal uses PayPal for all customer transactions so it is extremely secure. Your credit card details are not stored on our system at all. If you have a PayPal account you can use that to purchase products or you can simply make individual card transactions without an account.
The TripADeal website was first launched in July 2011. Having spent the best part of our lives 'on the road' we had continually dreamt up travel related businesses so we could indulge our wanderlust and also earn a living. We tried it all. From mountain bike tours to surfing safaris, kayak trips to abseiling adventures, backpacker hostels to travel guides-books. It didn't matter what it was as long as we didn't need to get out of bed and put on a suit. The idea for TripADeal came about after a conversation on the proliferation of 'Deal Sites'. Coming from a travel background we were really interested in how the group-buying model might be applied to the travel industry. At the time there were unbelievable offers being promoted across dozens of 'Deal Sites' for all manner of products and services. Group discounts meant prices were being slashed and the customers were loving it. You could even buy the odd holiday if you were vigilant, signed up to enough sites and checked your emails every day for that one deal that might be just right for you.
At this stage there was very little in way of travel being offered but those with an understanding of the industry could see it was a perfect fit and that ultimately group buying would significantly change the way that travel was bought and sold. It was in this context that we decided that we could play a role in the development of the concept. With our travel industry experience we pretty much knew all the issues for both travellers and operators when it came to buying, selling, booking or enjoying travel experiences. We certainly understood the balance between good deals for the customer and sustainable outcomes for the operator - something we felt had been completely missed in the 'deals gold rush'. It was easy enough to sell dozens of ridiculously priced holidays but what happened after that didn't even come into consideration. For everyone to be happy the customer would need to be able to redeem his/voucher within a reasonable timeframe and get good service when doing so. The only way the operator could hold up their end of the deal was if they had the time and resources to do so. It came down to selling enough to negotiate a good price for the customer but not too many that the operator would not be able to cope. And that's where we saw our niche. Right there in the middle of a good deal for the customer AND a good outcome for the operator TripADeal was born.
TripADeal is a small operation. We are not, nor do we pretend to be another group-buying corporate giant. In fact the only thing we have in common is that we love to find great deals and sell them to you as cheaply as possible. We like to think of ourselves as a DIY 'Travel Deals' site where tourism operators can promote and sell their very best offers to a highly motivated customer base who simply LOVE A DEAL. Anything you find on our site is going to be good. It has to be to make it in the first place. But more than that we want to promote unique experiences that will in their own way enrich your view of the world around you. Being small we have the time to talk to our operators and see how we can help their business in a positive way, we can answer specific questions from our customers about our featured deals and we can continue our relentless search for interesting and rewarding travel experiences. We understand that this is what makes us different and what will deliver us the loyal custom of both travellers and merchants alike. So that's exactly what we do. It's really very simple. We aim to keep our operators happy because happy operators send us great deals and great deals make our customers happy and happy customers are what we are all about. Welcome to TripADeal.
